My cat love the taste! So far my cat seems calmer!

5 Star - Handy Hound CalmStream Urinary & Calm SupplementI’m really impressed with this supplement so far. The product information is clear and easy to follow, especially the dosing by weight, which takes the guesswork out of giving it correctly. My cat actually likes the taste (which is a huge win), making daily use simple whether given directly or mixed into food. After just three days, I’ve already noticed he seems more relaxed, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I also appreciate that it supports urinary tract health while doubling as a calming aid—great for stressful situations like vet visits or changes at home. The addition of L-theanine and calming botanicals is a nice touch, and the salmon oil not only boosts overall wellness with omega-3s but also helps with palatability. The liquid, alcohol-free formula is convenient and easy to administer. It’s still early, but so far, so good—I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs long term. Definitely a promising, well-rounded supplement!

Easy to use and a helpful addition alongside urinary care

I’ve been using this since April 1st, so it’s still early, but first impressions have been positive. The biggest thing for me is how easy it is to give, just a few drops mixed into food and my cat doesn’t even notice it’s there. No struggle, no refusal, which makes it realistic to stay consistent with.I started using this because my cat had been dealing with urinary issues, including a blockage, so I’ve been more mindful about anything that could support him. This isn’t something I’m relying on as a treatment, but more as an added layer of support alongside everything else we’re doing. What I like is that it combines urinary support with calming ingredients. From what I’ve learned, stress can sometimes play a role in urinary problems with cats, so having both in one product makes sense without needing to manage multiple supplements. So far, I haven’t seen any negative reactions, which is always my first concern. My cat is acting like himself, eating normally, and taking it without any issue, which gives me confidence to continue using it and see how it does over time.At this point, it feels like a simple, low-effort addition that fits into a routine focused on keeping him comfortable and supported.

A product worth trying.

Giving a 4 star because I am still not 100% convinced it is helping with my cat's urination issue. I think this is more of a long term review. I will update it after a month of use.But it came as described. The bottle has a substantial amount and having the lid/dropper combination is very nice for ease of use. Getting what he should, every time and able to be spread amongst his food. I dare not attempt not administer it any other way lol.I personally don't care for the smell, but it states that it smells like salmon and he seems to be fine eating food with it mixed in. I was concerned he wouldn't want to eat it.I work full time and haven't had a chance to observe him for a prolonged period of time after using it and I am unsure of how long it takes to take effect. I do hope that it helps keep him calm and help prevent him from peeing outside his boxes. He seems to do it from a number of causes and is about 1.5 years old and just had these unwanted releases happening relatively recently.Today was day 3 of taking it and he peed on the floor in front of me this morning when we first got up. He usually is very excited when we come downstairs so I am hoping that the calming effects may help him.

Working well, no issues with our cat

This stuff works well in calming my cat down when it's time to go to the vet. Had a slight smell to it but my cat doesn't notice it. Easy to administer with the squeeze tube and measuring lines on them.

Effective for struvite crystals in male cats

My male cat has been struggling with struvite crystals in his urethra/urine for a few months. When it first started we noticed he was squatting to pee everywhere and yowling - but nothing was coming out. He was also vomiting. It just started overnight. We immediately took him to the vet and $1000 later we walked away with a bunch of medications, a drugged cat, and a food prescription in hand. We bought the food that day and continued his medications and it took about 3-4 weeks before he started acting normally again. He lost a bunch of weight because he didn’t like the food at first (and he was on several drugs), but eventually he started eating normally. I am so relieved he is finally better!I picked up these drops because he is finally done with all of his medication. And although he is more or less acting normally now, I understand that he will be at risk of recurrence all of his life. I plan to keep him on his prescription diet but I also want to give him a little extra boost to ensure he doesn’t have to go through that again.I mix the drops in with his food. I feed him twice a day as follows: one spoonful of wet food, a 1/4 cup of dry prescription kibble, and about 2 Tbsps of water. Then I add the drops and mix it up. He loves it! He weighs 15 lbs.The drops smell like herbal toe jam. Not great. But he loves them! He even loves to smell and rub against the bottle. I am hoping that over time he will continue to be healthy and not redevelop problems with struvite crystals.

Easy to use

The odor is not strong and show a good amount of natural and organic wholesome ingredients. Place on food seems easiest. The dropper has measurements for presice dosing.

Help with calmness and prevent urinary issues

I got this for my cat who has anxiety issues. He's very nervous especially around people he doesn't know. He even growls when someone knocks at the door or if he hears someone talking outside. I'm hoping this will help him calm down a bit. He's about 10 lbs so I put 0.50ml into his wet food and he doesn't seem to mind. I usually mix in some water with the wet food just to make sure he's getting enough hydration. Here are the ingredients:Marshmallow Root: Used for soothing mucous membranes and supporting urinary tract health.Corn Silk: Supports urinary tract function and acts as a mild diuretic.Gotu Kola Leaf: Promotes wound healing, supports cognitive function, and improves circulation.L-Theanine: Supports mental focus, reduces stress, and promotes relaxation without drowsiness.Salmon Oil: A source of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) to support heart, brain, and joint health.Mixed Tocopherols: A natural form of vitamin E with antioxidant properties. So far, so good. He's eating it in his wet food. I don't notice a dramatic change, but I'm not expecting that. I'm hoping over the next few weeks he will be a little more calm, and as a side-benefit we'll prevent urinary issues (which is not a problem currently).

Seems to Calm the Cats a Bit

I mean, without conducting a long term test with a baseline and then measurable, tangible results....we're really just guessing here. But we gave a dose to both cats and they chilled out and slept the rest of the afternoon. But that isn't altogether unheard of either, so there we are. Neither has any urinary issues that I'm aware of, so can't measure any improvement there either. So does it really do anything? I can't say for certain....but it doesn't hurt anything either. My gut tells me this stuff calmed and relaxed them. One cat is older and pretty chill to begin with. The other is young and a bit high strung....and he took it down a notch. Draw your own conclusions.Other users report that their cats loved the taste. We tried it on food and neither one would eat it....but that is an individual preference thing. We gave them both a dose the old fashioned (and less than pleasant) way. Fun times. We will try some other sneaky ways to get them to voluntarily ingest the stuff....but so far they aren't fans of the smell or taste. This stuff isn't cheap, but most pet care products aren't. Makes one ponder why we all voluntarily spend this much. Must be the cute factor...and they are entertaining. But I digress. If you have a high strung cat, or one that's urinating outside of a litter box you might give this stuff a try. Could be the magic bullet.

For UTI’s & stressed cats

This is a UTI & calm support drops for cats. It’s a 2oz. bottle that has a dropper. You only need 1-2 drops per day. I haven’t been using it for that long but my cat doesn’t like either the smell or the flavor so I haven’t to mix it into his wet food. 😈 It helps supports 2 things my cat suffers with- UTI’s and stress. He’s been taking UTI drops but this is good for 2 issues he has. I hope it continues to work and I will keep giving him this daily along with his other UTI drops. The ingredients are:Marshmallow Root Glycerite, Corn Silk Glycerite, Gotu Kola Leaf Glycerite, Valerian Root Glycerite, Purified Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Salmon Oil, Sunflower Lecithin, L-Theanine, & Citric Acid.Based on the ingredients It’s a good choice for bladder health, it has the natural ingredients that I prefer, and helps support my cats overall health but needs to be taken on a regular basis.

It's pretty purrrrrfect!

I am Smudge. I am 87. 17 in human. I been feeling fidgity and uncomfortable with gravel box time. One day human put something in dinner. Something not come in bag or can, NOT food, medicine. No to medicine! No to that trick! Ignore dinner, act grumpy. So hungry. Gave dinner sniff. No medicine in dinner? Eat dinner! I eat dinner many times now. Better I feel. I playful again. No as uncomfortable with gravel box time. I sleep good. Smudge happy, human happy. Medicine told her how to use good. Easy to give right amount. This time good trick. Feel better. Goodest thing, medicine gave human a magnet. Smudge get fun box to kill.Straight from the cat's whiskers. Smudge has been having kidney and urinary issues due to age. Calmstream seems to have given a relief to Smudge's issues. She was having large amount of urinary output. She was constantly seeming uncomfortable. Traditionally, it's a nightmare to get Smudge to take medicines. Especially, anything that has fish or it's flavoring. It took about 3 straight days of adding the Calmstream to her wet food. It was so unusual and totally surprising to see Smudge had zero issues with her taking the Calmstream mixed in her food. Her urinary output is noticeably decreasing. She is calmer and more playful, considering her age. Calmstream does come with excellent instructions and an easy to read pipette for dosage. I am happy with the results so far. It does seem to be working. Best of all, Smudge had a scheduled vet appointment to discuss if it was time for her to go to the rainbow bridge. The vet said because the new adding of Calmstream to her diet and it seemingly helping with symptoms, behavior and her comfortability it has given her some more time. The vet also said that Calmstream's ingredients did have helpful properties. Smudge and my experience has been positive so far. I feel the price is very reasonable. Now, as a responsible cat companion, I have to stress that Calmstream is not a cure. Please do check with your vet if your cat continues and/or increases in the symptomology that made you purchase Calmstream. Maybe, like us, Calmstream will help you and your furple have healthier, happier and more time together.

It combines many helpful items into one tincture - well formulated!

The best thing about this product - besides its thoughtful manufacturing practices and lack of extra fillers - is that it takes the place of several different tinctures that I usually have to purchase separately. For a cat recently diagnosed with FIC - or stress-induced bladder inflammation - this contains soothing demulcents like Marshmallow Root and Corn Silk. Corn Silk smells terrible but that seems to be just fine with my picky eater. L-Theanine is great to help reduce cortisol as is the salmon oil.Handy Hound has a good website which always makes me feel better about supplements. So far, so good! I'll update review after it has a chance to work!

A natural herbal homeopathic

CalmStream from Handy Hound / Feline Urinary Support / ASIN: B0GQCZSHB5 / $16There are many reasons as to why a cat may be skittish, anxious, or fearful -- these cats are highly prone to Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC), a painful bladder inflammation triggered by stress rather than infection. This can lead to serious complications. So long as your friend is inputting and outputting their fluids well, you can usually feel good about their urinary health. But if change comes, it often comes quick. It's a bit concerning how quickly their health can deteriorate if we don't pay attention. My cat already has a "urinary calm" specific dry food mixed in with his diet so I view CalmStream from HANDY HOUND as additional support. Its smell is not necessarily appetizing (to me) but it isn't a bad smell -- it's an herbal root smell, one of the natural ingredients within. It is listed as salmon flavored. I have been using it for one week now with no adverse effect. The point is you want to keep a urinary condition from occurring, the exact purpose of these drops. If you search the ingredients separately for feline use, you will also find additional benefits or at least confirm those supporting the manufacturer's claims. It is an impressive formula.I like that this product is natural and is both easy to dispense and apply to food via dropper. The vial size is also a good value for an 11lb feline; with the midrange dosage of 0.5ml 1-2x/day, it will last 2-4 months. Nicely packaged with clear, informative documentation although my cat is insulted by the dog-specific refrigerator magnet lol jk. Made in USA.//

Stinky but cats love it, inconclusive but positive results

We have two male cats (brothers). Our flame-point Siamese gets anxious if my husband is gone too long or two often, and shows his displeasure by peeing places that he shouldn’t. Our other cat recently was showing signs of maybe some mild bladder issues but I was hesitant to take him to the vet because it is just so expensive. So I decided to order this product on a whim to see if maybe it might address both issues.I can’t say for sure whether or not this product helped the bladder issues (because I didn’t get confirmation on that was what was wrong) but that cat seems back to normal within a couple of days of using this product. The flame-point definitely seems to get a relaxing effect from this product, but he is bigger and gets a bigger dose. The ingredient list appears healthy and natural to me, but I’m no veterinarian! The smell…..oh the smell is AWFUL! Whatever you do, don’t spill this stuff! Again, that’s my opinion though because both cats love it and I’m able to feed it to them directly out of the dropper.Ultimately I can’t honestly say whether this product 100% works, but given my experience, I’d say it’s worth a try.

Working great for my cat!

At the time of reviewing, this product is priced at $17.99.I have a 10 year old cat that has behavioral issues (orange cat owners, you get it). He frequently marks inside (thus getting the diaper of shame), and will sometimes act up with the other cats. I've been using this product with him for about a month and have been seeing improvements with his behavior, though not completely eradicated. The smell of this is disgusting to me, but enticing to the cat. My cat isn't extremely picky, so he eats this just fine mixed in with his wet food. It's super easy to add to his food as the dropper is pre-installed with measurements. Over the past month, I have noticed him marking less and being less of a jerk to the other cats. He is actually peeing in the litter box now, and not on the walls! Overall it seems to be helping him a lot, and I will likely be continuing to use this for his behavior.

I liked the smell less than the cats did LOL

I tried the Handy Hound CalmStream urinary and calming drops with one of my cats who occasionally shows mild urinary discomfort and stress behaviors. The liquid has a strong musky scent and mixes easily into wet food, which made daily use simple. The texture is smooth and blends in without clumping, so even my picky eater accepted itThe included dropper is clearly marked, so measuring the correct amount for weight ranges is straightforward. I had all my cats try it. some were meh, some just walked away. I was put off more by the smell then they were.In terms of ingredients, this formula uses herbal glycerites like marshmallow root, corn silk, valerian, and gotu kola, along with L‑theanine and a small amount of salmon oil. The texture is smooth and not oily, and my cat accepted it without resistance when mixed into food. I didn’t notice any digestive upset or changes in appetite during use.As for effects, the calming component seemed to help take the edge off during stressful moments—nothing dramatic, but a mild improvement in overall relaxation. For urinary support, it’s more of a gentle daily supplement rather than something meant for acute issues. It’s important to note that this isn’t a replacement for veterinary care, but as a supportive product, it performed consistently. I didn’t see a dramatic change in mobility, but my cat moved a little more comfortably during the day, especially after consistent use.The bottle is 2 oz, which lasts a reasonable amount of time depending on your cat’s weight and whether you use it once or twice daily. The price is on the higher side for a small supplement bottle, but the ingredient list and ease of use may justify it for some households.Overall, this is a mild, easy‑to‑administer supplement that may help with general urinary comfort and stress support when used regularly.

Worked to calm my cat down.

My cat didn't object to it being on Her kibble. Calming effects were noticeable within a few minutes, and last about an hour or two. Distinct behavioral changes observed. Less aggressive when playing with Her daughter, less agitated when Her daughter demands attention, less spastic running and less of a startling reaction when we enter the room. Overall, the observed behavioral change was positive, but short lived. The cat was a feral stray, that has been slowly adopted over the last year into being house safe. Had one litter, only one survivor. Freaks out when strangers are present. Unknown if urinary support is helping yet, no changes observed. L-Theanine appears to work as an option to reduce stress.

Great for my kitty with separation anxiety, hopeful for any results with the urinary support

I’m excited to see how these work long term, but they do work decently to calm my kitty with separation anxiety. This have a bit of an odor, but I guess not a kitty-deterring one because I put it in wet food and they GULPED it down as usual. The dropper is good quality and even has measuring lines to aid with dosing. I hope these work well long term so we have an easy way to keep my anxious baby okay
