You can tell when your dog’s paws or snout need a little extra care.
My dog Ginger came home from a winter walk one day, and I just looked at her paws. Really looked. They were rough and kind of sad-looking, honestly. Her nose had that dry, flaky thing going on too. I felt weirdly guilty.
I didn't want to slather something chemical-y on her. She licks those paws constantly. So I started reading labels and got increasingly annoyed at everything I found.
Paw Butter is what I landed on, and now I use it after almost every walk.
It's a plant-based balm that absorbs fast and doesn't leave her sliding around the kitchen floor. Works on paws and the nose. She has that dry nose condition some dogs get (nasal hyperkeratosis, looks worse than it sounds, but still), and this is the only thing that's actually helped. I just put a little on my finger, rub it in, and that's it. She tolerates it completely, which if you have a dramatic dog, you know is the real bar.
It doesn't smell weird. It doesn't feel greasy. I don't feel sketchy using it every day.
That's kind of all I needed it to be.
Because when their paws or snout are uncomfortable, you notice it too.
